Music Mondays #26: Current Favorites 11.4.13

Hey y'all! More than a month with no music faves. I suck. BUT! I have been listening to stuff. Lots of stuffs. First off, LORDE. Omg, I seriously love her teenage angst driven music. For 16 years old she is a lyrical genius! I've been listening to her album 'Pure Heroine' for 2 weeks straight. Obsessed.

Music Mondays #20: Current Favorites 7.15.13

Can't possibly go any longer without posting a music post. I know I suck I just have really been loving the stuff I already have. I do have a few though. I listen to Demi Lovato's album on repeat pretty often so until that phase passes I'm not particularly on the music hunt. Two songs are YouTube covers, but they're on iTunes, so I thought it'd be okay. This is my 20th music post. Twenty weeks of music posts, and I still love them just as much! Hope you guys are loving them too!

Music Mondays #3: YouTubers Who Do It Better

As almost every other 22 year old in America, I love youtube. YouTube is the amazing land of never ending creativity. Almost daily, I get sucked into what i like to call the YouTube vortex. I start off looking at beauty and fashion videos, and the next thing I know I'm looking at videos of kittens screaming. I never really understand how. My favorite vortex to be sucked into is a music one. If I love a song, one of the first things I do is look for a cover. And often times I can find a cover that blows me away, and makes me love it more than the original. Even better at times a good cover can make me love a song I absolutely hated.

So here's where this post comes in. I'm going to show you ten YouTube artists who I think out-sung the original or did an out of this world medley/remix. Now of course this is merely my opinion, so take it as you wish. I also hope this opens your eyes to some great YouTube artists who deserve more exposure.

I have a lot more than 10, but I'll stick to my 10 more unforgettable ones.

Music Mondays #2: Ed Sheeran Edition

I know most of you know who he is. Ed Sheeran is the new and next big thing in America. Ed has been widely popular overseas, so we are a little late on the bandwagon. Anyway, I love him. Loveeee him. His style of music is so unique,and he pulls influence from so many different genres and artists. He written for a lot of artists as well, some examples being T Swift and One Direction. On top of all that, his covers make me love some of my favorite songs even more, and he covers songs a lot. I youtube stalk new Ed Sheeran covers, I wish he would make a cover channel.



I actually went to his first solo American concert with my sister in NYC and it was amazing. The picture above is from the concert(the second one is mine, the first I found on google). It was a small venue but it was so intimate and special and wonderful and great and life affirming. I wanted to do a list of my favorite Ed Sheeran songs, with links to YouTube to find them. I'm most likely going to start doing that for all my music posts, so it's easier access to great music. Just click the name of the song to go to the YouTube video for it!

Music Mondays #1: Current Faves - Jan 29

Okay so technically its Tuesday, but oh wells! I wanted to try something new, because as I have began to LOVE my blog and enjoy blogging regularly, I should start incorporating things I love that aren't just beauty and fashion, because people are more than exteriors. Take me for example. I love Harry Potter, reading, food, fitness and music. I've loved music since I was 9 years old. I love every kind of music, except for maybe gospel and extra country, country music. So I figured I would start making posts about my favorite music.

So my plan is to post my top ten songs of the week, but as that is not always an option, I plan to fill my "off weeks" with "top music" posts, like top 10 of a decade, or year, or genre. I hope you guys like it! I would love to number it in order of most favorite to least favorite of my favorites, but I foresee myself getting stuck and frustrated at choosing. So I've decided I'm going to number my top 3 in order and all those after will be in no particular order. Hope you guys enjoy!
