Two crop top posts in a row, what can I say? I love them. So effortless and easy. Today's a super slow house chore day but I'm looking forward to writing some blog posts and doing laundry so that I can shoot more blog posts! My photographer(bf) is a working man now and it's hard to get photos shot. Also in the summer I wear fitness clothes and my work shirt to work every day so there's not much to take pictures of. I'm working on figuring out how that's gonna work. There may be less outfit posts and more beauty, but we'll see. I'm getting a new blog layout soon which is beyond exciting! I love blog designs and I'm currently hating mine. Just don't be startled if you see anything strange on tht blog, I'm not the greatest at HTML so I expect bumps on the journey. Oh and I can follow blogs via GFC again. I couldn't do it for days. That was a bit annoying. How was everyone's weekend? I saw my pups and cat at home, went out with some friends and had cuddle time with the boy! All in all a good time! Hope yours was good as well. Lots of love. ♥

Benefit They're Real Mascara

I've never done a mascara review so yay for a day of firsts! I received Benefit's They're Real mini as the generic birthday gift this year at Sephora (love these perks!). The brush is pretty interesting, it has spiky bristles with a spiked tip, which is great for the inner corners. I'll be honest, when I first got this I didn't like it at all. It's a very wet formula, too wet, and when I would try and layer up it would clump a bit and it was hard to work with. I'd have to wait a full minute to apply a second coat but it still didn't look great and it felt heavy. Additionally it is SO hard to get off for a non waterproof mascara. If I wet my face it smudges but doesn't actually come off, it just mats my lashes together. I use my cleanser to remove my makeup and it would take the second cleanse to get all the mascara off if I just used my fingers opposed to a washcloth(flannel).

After using it for two weeks the formula dried up a bit and I actually really started to like it! It's now giving me volume and length and its not weighing my lashes down! However, for the hefty price tag and the two week waiting period until the mascara is acceptable would keep me from repurchasing. There's so many different drugstore mascaras that do a better job for less! I'm not a fan of mascara that isn't amazing right away. Kinda a negative review, but not really. I adore Benefit and I have a Bad Gal Lash that is unopened and waiting to be tried, so maybe that one will be a winner! Beetlejuice

For the first time this year I braved the outside with no socks, and survived! I love these pants, they're super flattering, except the whole day my coworkers kept throwing out Beetlejuice references, haha. Some people just don't get the trends! My first day back at work is today,and although I seriously need to make some cash(gotta go shopping!), I've really enjoyed having my days free. *sigh* Today is also my boyfriend's birthday!! We've already pretty much celebrated because he has class tonight, but we're going to spend the night together, perhaps eating a nice meal and re watching Game of Thrones. I plan to do a wrap up of all we've done this weekend/week! Hope you guys are having a great Wednesday! ♥
