The Sunday Usual

Photobucket Pictures, Images and Photos
Dress: Target | Jacket: H&M | Shoes: Converse
I love Sundays. I currently do not work Mondays, so there's no work pressure or weekend sadness going on. Just quality time with me and my boy. We almost always do IHOP, which is a slightly unhealthy choice for us, even though we choose whole wheat and turkey options. It's just too good though! IHOP is usually followed by Dunkin Donuts and relaxation time until Sunday TV starts. We're currently watching Mad Men followed by Game of Thrones. Mad Men took me a while to fall in love with, but it is just SUCH a good show. On Sundays I dress as comfy as possible and dresses and skirts are always my first pick. Simple effortless and cute. Target's fashion is pretty basic but they produce some good quality pieces. Target is my absolute favorite place to shop for absolutely everything! I also don't wear makeup on most Sundays, hence the lack of photos and face. Haha.

P.S. I skipped this weeks music post. I was feeling uninspired and didn't want to force it. I'll be back next week though. Hope you all are forgivingl! ♥

Hey guys! After doing a long month of analyzing my Google Analytics I realized that most of my readers are from countries other than the US. I figure since so many of you do visit or want to visit NYC, I would post about locations that aren't as well known. Today I chose Marcus Garvey Park. Marcus Garvey Park is just a few blocks away from where I work and is absolutely stunning in the spring and summer. The park houses two huge great lawns, the Richard Rodgers Amphitheater and nature paths to walk up that lead to a watchtower and a spectacular view of the city. Harlem may not be the prettiest place, but it has some gems. This park comes alive in the summer with children and music and summer concerts and plays. Its beautiful. And just like every other NYC park, you should avoid it at night! I'm sad to say none of our parks are safe for nighttime strolls. Lol. This was a quick one because I was actually working when these pictures were taken(naughty me). If there's anywhere else you'd like to see, let me know. I'm thinking about doing restaurants, thrift stores and places for entertainment! ♥

Week(end) Wrap Up #2

Photobucket Pictures, Images and PhotosPhotobucket Pictures, Images and PhotosPhotobucket Pictures, Images and Photos
1. Took my stinky boy to the movies for his birthday. We saw Olympus Has Fallen and it was super good, such a crazy film. 2. Breakfast at IHOP, a regular past time of ours. 3. Saw the elephants at Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus. I love the animals. 4. Took my boyfriend to a pre-birthday Swedish massage, and got one for myself! Best massage I've ever had! 5. Bonus circus picture, the dogs stole the show! 6. My beautiful honey bunny panda bear being a lazy goose. 7. I love you in chicken fried rice. 8. Me and my boy at his birthday dinner. 9. Patiently waiting for dinner time. 10. Dinner with the girls at Cilantro on the Upper West side. 11. Chocolate Brownie A La Mode. 12. Haphazard OOTN at the movie theaters. We saw Temptation btw, and it sucked.

Okay, so this wasn't exactly a weekend wrap up, it was more of a week wrap up. But it was a great week, even though I went back to work halfway through. I haven't been to the circus since I was little, and I actually enjoyed it more now! Except for clowns, they suck and their segments were super boring. Can you say refreshment break?! I bet you can. It wasn't pictured, but me and Erica went to Olive Garden before the circus and had a twin/sister love lunch time. It was delicious, Olive Garden is my favorite restaurant! I enjoyed seein gmy favorite coworkers/closer friends after a week plus off! I try not to do "Instagram" posts since I feel like its redundant (besides, no one does posts of their tweets, do they?), so majority of these pictures weren't posted already! I would love to do week posts every week, but life is not always very exciting, aka nothing to take pictures of but skyscrapers and gloomy skies. Hopefully when it's warmer I'll have stuff to post! NYC is so beautiful in the spring and summer! Hope everyone is having a great Sunday! I'm I plan to sit around with my boy getting all set for the premiere of Mad Men and a new episode of Game of Thrones. I don't watch tv unless its a Sunday, I'm a Netflix girl through and through! ♥
