Music Mondays #17: Current Favorites 5.27.13

Well helllooooo guys! Happy Memorial Day if you guys celebrate it! If you didn't know, my boyfriend is a currently serving in the National Guard and has also served in the Marine Corps, so I want to thank him and everyone else who has served for defending our country and being braver than most. We're not doing much today, just kicking back and enjoying the day off! Not much to say about today's music favorites except, well, they're my favorite! I'm back on a full indie kick which is fine by me! :)

My 23rd!

If you didn't know, both me and my Erica turned twenty three on the 22nd! I wasn't super excited about this birthday, you know the whole getting old syndrome but the day got better as it went on! I went to work, I know some people skip work on their birthday but I don't see the point. The staff sang to me and the kids were total sweethearts, I even got some cards from them!

I then went to dinner with Erica and our boyfriends in midtown at Benihana, a famous hibachi restaurant, which was delicious as always!

Erica and I also swapped presents this year for the first time ever(I know...weird) and it was so much fun! We've been gathering gifts for so long, and it was all a surprise so opening our gifts was almost like a swap! Here's what I got from Erica!:





I'm so excited to try the Tarte blush(in the shade exposed), the Eight Hour Cream and the Out of Trouble Mask, and the fashion items were perfect! The pants are from H&M and the bag is from Zara! I also was very curious about the deodorant and spoke to Erica about it a couple of days ago, so that surprised me! The biggest surprise was at Erica bought me a domain! Soon I will be www.trinawears.com! I just have to figure out how to use it! Haha.
It was very humid and I had to work so I wore something very casual!

Allergies and Hot Pink Polish

Just my outfit for work. Such a fun day! The female staff all brought in our nail polish painted all the girls' nails, and I painted my own as well! Surprisingly, I've never worn hot pink polish, and I liked it more than I thought I would! I ended my night with my sister and my best friend eating burgers and having girl talk. Fun times! I am really loving my booties, best purchase I've made in some time! Should I get the same ones in black or a different brand/style? Let me know! Oh and excuse the lack of makeup! My allergies have been killing me lately! I am only affected in my eyes so they water and mess up my mascara. As sexy as that is, I'll have to pass on raccoon eyes! Haha. I literally can go three weeks without makeup and not care a single bit! It's only supplementary, not necessary! As you read this, if youre reading on Wednesday that is, its my birthday! Hello! Happy Monday! I'm loving my favorite picks of this week. I have a R&B song on the list this week. I don't often listen to the radio but I heard this one when my kids at work were listening to it and I loved it! If you guys have any other J Cole songs for me let me know! Other than that it's the usually indie stuff. It helps me relax on the commute, and it's great to listen to! Oh and Demi of course, love her!

Origins Collection, How to Afford Skincare and A Cat.

Hey guys! I am a growing skincare junkie and my current and all time favorite brand is Origins! I thought today I would show you my collection, and explain how I afford "luxury" skincare on a budget. I believe that skincare is most important when it comes to beauty. I will always choose a $50 moisturizer over a $50 foundation. There is great affordable skincare out there but for better ingredients in most cases it's best to invest. Origins in my opinion is on the reasonable side of high end skincare. *Cat Disclaimer* She woulddd not move! So I just included her, hope you don't mind! On to my collection:

I will eventually be doing reviews on all of them, but I'll quickly say that my top three Origins products are: High Potency Night-A-Mins(finished and therefore not pictured), Zero Oil Cleanser, and Clear Improvement Mask! Now here are some ways you could get affordable skincare!

> eBay! You can find so many products or samples of products on eBay! Everyone's skincare is different so trying out samples save you money while experimenting.
> Deals! The Origins site is ALWAYS running promotions for money off, or free sample with purchase! Also they have great value sets year round, but even better during the Christmas season! That goes for all brands! Department stores also come through when not comes to sets and promotions online and in stores!
> Ask for samples! Counters and stores are usually willing to give samples without a purchase! Try it out and save up! I'm currently on a sample of Checks and Balances that is lasting forever!
